We invite you to come and take the time with us over New Year.
We live in one of the richest parts of the world, yet we are not content.

Europe is known for the equality and security of its citizens- yet our ways of protecting our privileges from the outside world are getting more and more cruel.

We are one of the most peaceful continents in the world – yet so many of us are at war in our own families.

The environment and future of our globe is threatened – yet we fail to make the changes in our life that is needed to reduce global warming and prevent disaster.

It is said that to whom much is given, from him much will be required….it’s time to choose.

Viktigste klimanyhet i 2009

Miljøvern og klimaforandringer sto på agendaen da 200 muslimske ledere fra Indonesia i øst til Marokko i vest møttes i Istanbul 5. – 7. juli.  Olav Kjørven, undergeneralsekretær i FN og FNs utviklingsprogram (UNDP) sa i en åpningstale: ”Det er en stor ære for FN og for meg å ta del i denne historiske konferansen. At dere i den muslimske verden nå forplikter dere til handling, og at andre religioner gjør det samme, er uten tvil den viktigste klimanyheten i 2009.”

Australia: IofC og aboriginere med grønt tankegods

En ledende talsmann for Australias urbefolkning var i Caux i sommer. Ray Minniecon er med-formann i komtéen som for alvor satte aboriginernes skjebne på Australias dagsorden. Det resulterte i at Australias statsminister på nasjonens vegne i fjor ba om tilgivelse for den hensynsløse tvangsintegreringen som aboriginerne hadde vært utsatt for.

Gandhi voyage starts in largest Muslim nation

The Gandhi ‘Voyage of Dialogue and Discovery’, began last week in Jakarta, Indonesia. The journey will take Professor Gandhi, President of IofC International, his wife Usha, and teams accompanying them to countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle-East, Europe and the Americas, in his words, ‘with a hope for honest dialogue and a desire for collaboration’. Tools for Change- Kuala Lumpur

The second annual Tools for Change KL took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 2010, organised by PICCSO (Performance Improvement Centre for Civil Society Organisations), a programme branch of IofC Malaysia. The 80 attending came from NGOs and IofC teams in Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia, and individuals from countries as far apart as China, America and Australia.
